Use ScheduleBuilder with WordPress

Use the Schedule Builder Online WordPress plugin to display a published schedule with a shortcode containing its public token.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to a ScheduleBuilder account, then install and activate the Schedule Builder Online plugin on your WordPress site
  • Publish the schedule in ScheduleBuilder to create its public token
  • Have permission to edit the WordPress page or post where the schedule belongs
  1. 1

Install the Schedule Builder Online plugin

In WordPress administration, install and activate Schedule Builder Online. WordPress needs this plugin to recognize the ScheduleBuilder shortcode and render the public schedule.

  2. 2

    Publish the schedule in ScheduleBuilder

Open the intended schedule, select Share, and publish it. Publishing creates the public token used as the shortcode id; without it, WordPress has no public schedule to display.

  3. 3

    Copy the shortcode

In the Share modal’s WordPress section, copy the generated shortcode. Its basic form is `[schedule_builder id="TOKEN"]`, where TOKEN is the public token for the published schedule, not the schedule name.

  4. 4

    Add a Shortcode block

Edit the WordPress page or post, add a Shortcode block where the schedule should appear, and paste the shortcode. Save or update the page, then view it to confirm the schedule loads.

  5. 5

Add optional locale and title settings

Add `locale="xx"` to choose the public interface locale and `show_title="false"` to hide the title. For example: `[schedule_builder id="TOKEN" locale="en" show_title="false"]`.

Next steps

View the published WordPress page as a visitor and verify the locale and title settings. Keep the shortcode token current if you ever unpublish and republish the schedule.
