Backgrounds and images

Use a built-in background, remove the background entirely, or—with Pro—upload an image and adjust it so the schedule remains readable.

At a glance

  • Background presets and No background are available to all users
  • Opacity can be set from 5% to 100%, and blur from 0 to 20
  • Custom JPEG, PNG, and WebP images up to 5 MiB require a signed-in Pro account
  1. 1

    Open the background picker

Select Background to open the available background options. From here, choose a preset or select No background to remove the applied background.

  2. 2

Use a preset or no background

Choose any available preset to apply it to the schedule. Presets are available to all users. Select No background whenever you want to return to a schedule without a background image.

  3. 3

    Adjust opacity and blur

Set opacity from 5% to 100% and blur from 0 to 20 in the background picker. Lower opacity or more blur can make event text, times, and grid lines easier to read over a detailed image.

  4. 4

Upload a custom image with Pro

With a signed-in Pro account, you can upload a custom JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 5 MiB for use as a background. After uploading it, adjust opacity and blur as needed to keep the schedule legible.

  5. 5

Know where an uploaded image is stored

Custom background uploads require a signed-in Pro account and are stored server-side with that account. They are available with the account on another device, but are not included in a JSON backup.

Next steps

Review the schedule’s contrast after choosing a background, then adjust the theme or individual event colors if anything is hard to read.
